Goodwin Selected As SURE Scholar

Kaylee Goodwin, rising Junior at OU Norman, was selected as a Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) Scholar on the OU Health Campus.

Goodwin was paired with Dr. Kelly Standifer, Professor and Chair in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, as her mentor.

Kaylee presented her research from the Summer Undergraduate Research Program Symposium on July 24, 2026, “NEUROBEHAVIORAL OUTCOMES IN FEMALE RATS DIFFER FOLLOWING TWO DISTINCT TYPES OF EXPERIMENTAL TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY (TBI)”.

Evaluated as one of the top ten poster presentations by judges on July 23, Kaylee was one of ten Flash Talk presenters on the 24th, and was awarded the People’s Choice award as Winner of the Flash Talk Session! 

Kaylee is majoring in Community Health on the Pre-Pharmacy track at the University of Oklahoma, and shadowed members of the Standifer lab during the spring 2026 semester, and will continue her summer research project during the fall semester as well.
