Critical Care

The PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy residency is a 12-month program providing employment and the academic rank of Clinical Instructor with the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy. The resident is primarily involved in clinical practice at OU Health - University of Oklahoma Medical Center, Oklahoma's only Level 1 Trauma Center. Residents contribute to the education of pharmacy students, resident physicians, medical students, faculty physicians, and other members of the healthcare team. The residency program provides opportunities to practice in interdisciplinary teams and is designed to meet the individual interests and needs of the resident.

Required – Orientation, Medical Intensive Care, Advanced Medical Intensive Care (precepting month), Emergency Medicine, Trauma Intensive Care, Neurocritical Care, Surgical Intensive Care/ECMO, Research

Elective – Pediatric Intensive Care, Neonatal Intensive Care, Infectious Diseases Consult Service, Toxicology, Cardiac Intensive Care unit, additional core rotations

Longitudinal experiences – Code Blue Response, Clinical Research, Critical Care Clinical Weekend Staffing, Teaching, Pharmacy Grand Rounds
