PGY2 Residency Programs
Ambulatory Care
The goal of this ASHP accredited PGY2 residency in ambulatory care is to prepare the post-doctoral resident for a career in ambulatory care pharmacy practice with either a health care system or an academic institution.
Critical Care
The PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency is a 1-year experience providing residents with advanced training in the care of critically ill patient populations. The goal of the program is to equip residents with the necessary skills required to obtain board certification and provide a high-level of care in a pharmacy clinical specialist or faculty role. The program is associated with the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy, offering residents the opportunity to interact with pharmacy students through didactic lectures and precepting.
Infectious Diseases
The PGY2 Infectious Diseases Residency is a 1-year experience providing residents with advanced training in the care of infectious diseases patient populations. The goal of the program is to equip residents with the necessary skills required to obtain board certification (BCIDP) and provide a high-level of care in a pharmacy clinical specialist or faculty role. The program is associated with the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy, offering residents the opportunity to interact with pharmacy students through didactic lectures and precepting.
Internal Medicine
The goal of the PGY2 residency in internal medicine is to provide the resident with the practice skills and knowledge to become a role model pharmacotherapy specialist and educator.
Oncology
The goal of this PGY2 residency in oncology is to prepare the post-doctoral resident for a career in oncology practice with either a health care or an academic institution or for continued fellowship training in oncology pharmacy.
Pediatrics
The goal of this PGY2 pediatric residency is to develop the resident to become a model pediatric clinical specialist and educator. Residents who complete this program will be prepared for a career in pediatric pharmacotherapy with either a health care system or an academic institution.
