Amy Williams, Director of Academic Assessment in the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy, has been named the recipient of the 2026 SGA Tanya L. Mustin Staff Excellence Award—a distinguished honor recognizing exceptional commitment to student success.
Originally established in 2015 by the Student Government Association, the Staff Excellence Award is unique in that it is driven entirely by student nominations and selected by the SGA Executive Board. Students are invited to recognize staff members who demonstrate excellence in advising, mentoring, and service. In 2021, the award was renamed in honor of Tanya L. Mustin, a beloved campus leader known for her dedication to students and her long-standing role in coordinating the University’s annual Student Awards ceremony.
Williams, who has been with the University since 2003, was selected as the fifth recipient of this prestigious award. Student nominations highlighted her meaningful and often behind-the-scenes contributions, noting her vital role in supporting student success and fostering an environment where students can thrive both academically and personally. She is widely recognized for her accessibility, problem-solving, and unwavering commitment to advocating for students.
“The College is deeply grateful for the dedication and care Amy Williams shows to our students every day,” said Dean Medina. “We couldn’t be prouder to see her receive this well-deserved recognition. Being nominated by students is one of the highest honors at the University, and it speaks volumes about the impact Amy has made.”
Williams’s recognition reflects her enduring commitment to student-centered service and her significant contributions to the College of Pharmacy community.
