Administrative Assignments

                                                

    1. Role: Director. Scope: Department. Description: Pharmacotherapy Service Manager Assign Clinic coverage and staffing for 11 providers every month Coordinate PGY1 and PGY2 clinic schedules with Residency Directors every month Schedule Supervise clinic staff (three). Also provide training, assignment of duties, and evaluations. Hire and fire staff--new staff hire 10/1/13 Supervised floats to fill in July-Oct after a staff resignation Liaison between FMC and the service Responsible for the physical arrangement of the clinic Responsible for purchasing all supplies, office and clinical Responsible for overseeing HIPAA compliance of the clinic Responsible for reviewing diabetes consults on a daily basis Responsible for some of the financial aspects of the clinic Responsible for some of the clinic development and offerings Responsible for all other aspects of clinic management not listed. Oversee student rotation assignments and assessments Work with faculty and the Office of Experiential Education to manage students in academic difficulty while on rotation Conduct monthly ambulatory care meetings Work with FMC billing to optimize billing Mentor clinic faculty Adjust clinic schedule to acccomodate faculty workload and vacations Faculty development with regards to clinical practice Data collection regarding clinic operations Instituted Monthly research meeting where all providers meet to report on their projects and scholarship. Purpose is to hold each other accountable, to troubleshoot when someone is having difficulty advancing a project, and generate new research/project ideas. Initiated a monthly complex patient discussion based on patient management issues. Different faculty present each month.
