NACDS Foundation Presents Scholarship to OU College of Pharmacy

OU College of Pharmacy received one of four 2023 NACDS Foundation innovation track scholarships. Awardees were selected from a competitive pool of applications submitted from accredited colleges and schools of pharmacy across the country.

This award will expand medical support for an inter-professional, student-led community shelter. The initiative will support clinical education and offer healthcare screening and services to underserved and vulnerable populations.

The NACDS Foundation Scholarship Program is designed to fund prospective projects that advance patient care by creating new learning opportunities for students and fostering diversity in pharmacy. Accredited colleges and schools of pharmacy were asked to submit applications for projects that may include community-based research projects and patient-centered coursework, or other innovative curricula.

The college's application was submitted by Dr. Katherine O'Neal, Dr. Michael J. Smith, and Eric Johnson.
