Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion

By conducting a comprehensive, flexible, holistic review of all applicants, we strive to seat a diverse class constituted by academically gifted, highly motivated, resilient students who share a deep commitment to the values and goals of our profession and our college.

The holistic review gives individualized consideration to the applicant’s talents, accomplishments, experiences, and potential to contribute to the learning community by using information from the academic record, life history, recommendations, essays, and personal interview. Just as the university is committed to diversity and inclusion, so is OUCOP.

Admissions Committee Mission Statement

OUCOP strives to enroll a diverse group of academically prepared exceptional students who exhibit the personal attributes, traits, interpersonal skills, and professionalism necessary for success within the professional program. OUCOP recognizes the importance of diversity as it enhances the learning environment, training experiences, and enriches campus life. We seek to assess students in a holistic manner giving individualized consideration to each applicant who might contribute to the college in this manner as well as exhibiting leadership potential in the practice of pharmacy.
