The PharmD-MS program combines a professional and graduate degree program to allow students to obtain both their Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) and Master of Science (M.S.) degrees. This program is designed to prepare pharmacists for careers in pharmaceutical education, research, industry, and related areas of specialized practice. The intent of the dual degree program is to enable students to earn a Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences within 12 months of completing their Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Students who complete the program will take a minimum of 30 hours of graduate level coursework, conduct original research, and write a Master’s thesis. Only students who are currently enrolled in the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy are eligible to apply for the Pharm.D./M.S. dual degree program.
