Research Summary

Clinical Practices
General Interest Areas: Pediatric hematology and oncology supportive care. Activities on rounds include: medication review, TPN consultation and management, pain control management and consultation, pharmacokinetic monitoring and consultation, drug information, informal teaching to medical residents and students. Assist in Heme/Onc clinic for drug information and adverse reaction management and reporting. I also serve as a resource for drug information for staff nurses and help to serve as a go-between for nursing and pharmacy staff at CHO.

Rates of infection in indwelling cathetars in pediatric oncology patients. Taste of oral medications and effects on compliance and prescribing patterns. Micronutrients in Pediatric Oncology patients. Alternative Therapies in Pediatric Oncology patients. Pain management in pediatric patients. Problem-based and Evidence Based learning in pharmacy students Clinical pharmacy services provided to Pediatric patients.
