Kristie Williams, senior specialist with the Oklahoma Center for Poison and Drug Information, is the lead author in "Use of polyvalent equine anti-viper serum to treat delayed coagulopathy due to suspected Sistrurus miliarius streckeri envenomation in two children," which is now published online at Clin Toxicol Feb 6, 2017. Dr. William Banner is listed as a co-author.

This article suggests the need for a more effective anti-venom in treating patients who experience recurrent coagulopathy or one that does not have a high incidence of recurrent after initial control is achieved.

Congratulations, Kristie!
