
At the time of this lecture, Dr. Mary Anne Koda-Kimble was Professor and Dean of the School of Pharmacy at the University of California in San Francisco, involved in teaching and caring for patients at the UCSF Diabetes Center. She has held positions as Thomas J. Long Endowed Chair in Chain Pharmacy Practice and Professor and Chair of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy. Mary Anne has been a member of the Food and Drug Administration's Nonprescription Drugs Advisory committee, and in July 1998, she began a term on the Board of Directors of the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE). She was inducted into the California Pharmacists Association's Hall of Fame and designated a Founding Member and Distinguished Practitioner in the National Academy of Practice in Pharmacy.
