Asst/Assoc Professor

Administration
 
• Reports to the Chair of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences
• College or university administrative duties may be assigned by either the Dean of the College of Pharmacy or the Chair of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences
 
University, Professional Organizations, and Community Activities
 
• Participates on departmental, college and university committees
• Participates in appropriate scientific, academic and community organizations at the local, regional and national level
 
Education
 
• Provides didactic teaching to professional and graduate students in pharmaceutics and related disciplines
• Assists in the oversight of the professional student laboratories as related to their area of expertise
• Provides opportunities for students, postdoctoral fellows and other trainees to participate in mentored scholarly research as a means to enhance their pharmaceutical education
 
Scholarship
 
• Develops, implements, and completes independent or collaborative scholarly teaching or research
• Disseminates new and/or applied knowledge through peer-reviewed publications

 

Required

• Ph.D. or equivalent degree in a pharmaceutical sciences discipline or closely related field
• Must meet requirements to work in the United States
• Experience teaching pharmaceutics and related disciplines in a  pharmacy curriculum

Preferred

• A record of meaningful involvement in the education of graduate students
• History of scholarship of teaching and/or research
• A strong track record of significant teaching in a professional pharmacy curriculum
