Kappa Psi was founded in 1879 in New Haven, Connecticut on the principles of industry, sobriety, fellowship, and high ideals. It is the oldest and largest pharmaceutical fraternity in the world. The Gamma Omicron chapter was founded in 1923 and has continued these goals.

The objectives of Kappa Psi include:

  • To conduct a professional fraternal organization for the mutual benefit of its members;
  • To develop industry, sobriety, and fellowship;
  • To foster high ideals, scholarship, and pharmaceutical research;
  • To support all projects which will advance the profession of pharmacy and to actively participate in them;
  • To inspire in its members a deep and lasting pride in their Fraternity and in the profession of pharmacy

Events: In 2016, our chapter hosted Brothers from our region at the semi-annual Southwest Province Conclave. We are looking forward to our annual Dr. and Dr. of Pharmacy Pageant, hosted with Phi Delta Chi, benefiting the American Heart Association this spring.
