APhA PLEDGE OF PROFESSIONALISM: As a student of pharmacy, I believe there is a need to build and reinforce a professional identity founded on integrity, ethical behavior, and honor. This development, a vital process in my education, will help ensure that I am true to the professional relationship I establish between myself and society as I become a member of the pharmacy community. Integrity will be an essential part of my everyday life and I will pursue all academic and professional endeavors with honesty and commitment to service.

Academic Standing Committee (ASC): The primary functions of the Committee are to (1) review the academic performance of all professional students each academic term and take appropriate action regarding those students with academic deficiencies; (2) hear and act on petitions from students who request variation from any academic policy; and (3) review and recommend changes in policies pertaining to academic retention, progression, and awards. The ASC meets one to two weeks after completion of each semester.

The mission of the graduate program of the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy is to provide advanced education and to conduct research in the pharmaceutical sciences through multidisciplinary programs in a wide array of scholarly pursuits.

The goals of the graduate program of the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy are to:

  • Train high quality researchers with a sound theoretical background from which scientific approaches and methods can be applied to their field of study
  • Provide outstanding training and experience in teaching
  • Contribute to the advancement and dissemination of new scientific knowledge
