The College of Pharmacy also recognizes outstanding academic and professional performance by students. Most of the honors listed below are presented at the annual Pharmacy Day Awards Banquet or College of Pharmacy Convocation. The student organizations also recognize special achievements of their members annually.
Pharmacy students who are enrolled full-time in good standing, earn a grade point average of 3.00 or above with no grades below B, and rank in the upper 20% of their class for each semester are placed on the Dean's List.
Several special honors are presented each year at the College of Pharmacy Convocation. The Valedictorian is the graduating senior who has maintained the highest total and professional grade-point average. The Most Congenial Senior is selected by the members of the graduating class. The Mosier Senior Scholar Award is presented to a graduating senior for outstanding leadership and service to the college. Students who have been elected to Rho Chi and Phi Lambda Sigma Honor Societies are formally recognized at the convocation along with those to be graduated with distinction.
Students who complete the pharmacy program with a professional grade-point average of 3.50 - 3.74 are graduated with Distinction and those with a professional grade-point average of 3.75 - 4.00 are graduated with Special Distinction. This honor is inscribed on the diploma and is designated in the commencement and convocation ceremony programs. Students who maintain a perfect 4.00 total grade-point average will also receive an OU Seal Medallion on a red and white ribbon as a separate recognition from University offices.

The new edition, certificate, and a one year subscription to the Natural Medicines Comprehensive Database is presented to a graduating student who has demonstrated promise in improving care and shows an appreciation for scientific inquiry and an evidence-based approach to evaluating natural medicines.

The recipient of the Mosier Senior Scholar Award is chosen from among students nominated by the faculty for making outstanding contributions to the College of Pharmacy. This award recognizes an individual who has given much to the college during their tenure as a student. The trustees of the Henry D. and Ida Mosier Estate also recognize this student as Mosier Senior Scholar of the Year with an attractive stipend.

Recipients of these awards are recommended to the Dean by the Academic Standing Committee. Nominations are obtained from the faculty for several of the awards (*).
