
Lee Lavender graduated from The University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree in 1997. As a pharmacy student, Lee was an active member of Phi Delta Chi Pharmaceutical Fraternity. In 1998, Lee went to work for Hospital Discount Pharmacy and became part owner in 2001. In her pharmacy practice setting, she has been innovative and forward thinking by providing immunizations, diabetes counseling, and extensive patient education related to medication management. As a young pharmacist, Lee has been actively involved in the Oklahoma Pharmacists Association (OPhA), becoming secretary/treasurer of District 5 in 1999. She became vice president in 2000 and president of District 5 in 2001. In 2001, Lee received the Distinguished Young Pharmacist of the Year Award presented by OPhA in recognition of outstanding service to the profession of pharmacy. Lee has served the OU College of Pharmacy in several ways, recently as a member of the professional panel for the Adult Immunization Certificate Program provided by college in 2000. Lee and her husband, Jeff, a 1996 graduate of The University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy, are members of the North Side Christian Church and are members of the X-Files fan club. |
