After graduating from The University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy in 1964 with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree, Tom began his pharmacy career with Humpty Pharmacies and remained with the organization until 1985. While with Humpty Pharmacies, Tom served as Pharmacist, Supervisor, Drug Sales and Operations Manager, and Division Operations Manager. In 1985, Tom became Non-Foods and Pharmacy Director for Fleming Foods, remaining with the company until 1989. Between 1989 and 1994, he moved through the ranks of FoxMeyer Drug Company from Sales Manager of the Oklahoma City Division to Division Manager of the San Antonio Division and then to Director of the Supermarket Pharmacy Franchise. Currently, Tom is co-owner of CBI, Inc. and CBI Pharmacy Network, providing independent pharmacy owners an avenue to compete with chains and to have access to third party contracts and competitive service costs.

Tom is a member of several pharmacy organizations, including the American Pharmaceutical Association (APhA), Oklahoma Pharmacists Association (OPhA), Food & Marketing Institute (FMI), National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS), and the National Community Pharmacist Association (NCPA).

Tom has been very active in the Oklahoma Pharmacy Heritage Foundation serving as board member, Annual Golf Classic Chairman, Vice President, and President. He was named to the Oklahoma Pharmacy Heritage Hall of Fame in 2007.

Tom’s support of The University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy has been extensive and included service on the college’s National Advisory Board, Alumni Affairs Board, and Advisory Committee. Tom has also been a member of the college’s committees on continuing education, strategic planning, admissions, Mortar and Pestle Phone-a-thon, dean and faculty search, and self-study. Tom has served two terms as President of the College of Pharmacy Alumni Association and Chairman of the Alumni Affairs Board and he is the 2002 recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award.

Tom is an Elder in the First Christian Church of Edmond and has been Chairman of the Church Board. He and his wife Marilyn have three children, Juli Foreman of Dallas, Texas, Tommy Noles, Jon and Paige LaGasse of Edmond, Oklahoma. They also have five grandchildren, Megan, Molly and Mallory Foreman of Dallas and Colton and Trenton LaGasse of Edmond.
