Haskell L. Evans

Awards


Haskell received his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy in Norman, Oklahoma in 1964. In 1965 he ventured out to become a partner in an independent retail setting in Lawton, Oklahoma and in 1972 became sole owner of the store, which became Haskell’s Prescription Shop. In 1983 he became a partner in the Wolf Creek Medical Center and opened the Wolf Creek Pharmacy and in 1991 he opened another clinical pharmacy in the Tomlinson Medical Center. He is the Chief Executive Officer of RPH3, Inc in Lawton, Oklahoma. Haskell has served the community of Lawton/ Ft. Sill for 40 years.

Haskell’s Prescription Shop was awarded the Independent Pharmacy of the Year by Drug Topics in 1991. In 1997 Haskell was appointed to a nine year term with the Oklahoma State Board of Health. Haskell is the current President of the Oklahoma State Board of Health and is the first individual to be selected as President that does not have a medical degree. He has served in the past as the Oklahoma Pharmaceutical Association’s District 6 President, Vice- President and Secretary. He is a member of the Mortar and Pestle Society, OPhA, NCPA and PCCA.

Jack has been married to his wife Diane for 34 years and together they have raised three wonderful children, Kristin Evans-Ragsdale (a University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy graduate in 1993), Melissa Ann Evans- Cuthbertson (a University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy graduate in 1994) and Brandon Evans, a photo journalist and a writer. They also have two sons-in- law, John Ragsdale, Pastor of the Promiseland Church and a published song writer in Austin, Texas and Duane Cuthbertson who is the City Planner for the City of Owasso. Haskell and Diane are blessed to have three grandchildren, Madison Cuthbertson, John Evan Ragsdale and Davis Ragsdale.

In addition to his daughters becoming pharmacists Haskell has had the pleasure of being a preceptor and watching 14 employees grow and graduate with a pharmacy degree. Haskell and Diane enjoy raising and breeding American Quarter Horses, registered Black Angus and Limousin cattle. The cattle business has allowed them to help young FFA students and give them a better understanding of the future of American cattle and agriculture. Haskell enjoys serving his church and the community and gives thanks to God many times over for making him who he is today. Haskell states he has a wonderful life and could not dream of anything else.
