C. Edward McFall

In his father's footsteps, Ed "grew-up" in the family drugstore in Frederick, OK. Ed, like his father, Jack McFall, was an OU graduate, receiving his B.S. from the College of Pharmacy in 1969. At O.U., he was president of the Sooner Pharmaceutical Association.

Upon graduation, Ed became a staff pharmacist at the Shawnee Medical Center before returning to Frederick to practice. Moving to Utah from 1972 to 1980, Ed owned a community pharmacy in Salt Lake City. While there, he was on the Board of Directors of the Utah Pharmaceutical Association, serving that organization as president from 1978 to 1979. He was on the Pharmacy Advisory Board for the Utah Department of Social Services and served as an adjunct professor of clinical practice for community pharmacy at the University of Utah College of Pharmacy.

After returning to Oklahoma, Ed became a pharmacy owner and community pharmacist in Frederick. Here he has been named an Oklahoma Outstanding Young Business Man, and was awarded a three-month study of pharmacy and medicine in England through a group study exchange sponsored by Rotary International. He served as chairman of the board of trustees for the Tillman County Memorial Hospital and a member of the Hospital Trust Authority Board.

Ed has been president of Oklahoma Pharmacist Association, District 6, and served as chair of Oklahoma Pharmacists for Political Action. He has been a member of the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy, serving as its President in 1993. He has been further honored as a recipient of the Ralph D. Bienfang Outstanding Practitioner Award presented by the OU College of Pharmacy.

Ed has been very active in Oklahoma Health Planning, being appointed to Area 2 Health Council in 1987, and chaired the state Rural Health Planning Committee from 1990 to 1993. The Governor appointed him to the Oklahoma Health Care Commission, then he was appointed to the Oklahoma Health Care Authority, serving as its chairman. He is currently vice chairman of the Oklahoma Health Care Authority. Additionally, he has served on the Drug Utilization Evaluation Committee for the State of Oklahoma and the Education Employees Group Insurance Program.

Ed and wife, Rose Anna, reside in Frederick where he is an elder at the First Presbyterian Church. In addition to his pharmacy and health-care responsibilities, he is a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.
