The purpose of this session is to provide participants with strategies for conducting meaningful self and peer evaluations. The overall goal of the session is to help participants evaluate the strategies they currently use and explore frameworks for evaluating your own, peer and multiple instructor teaching endeavors. The emphasis of the session is on reviewing two specific strategies/techniques for conducting the evaluations.

Have you ever felt like your students are from another
world? Do you hear a lot of complaints regarding your lecture activities
that seem tedious to you but big to them? Do you have problems engaging
and keeping students involved in the lecture material? Do you just feel
like you need help understanding the students today? If so, this session
is for you. We will highlight the differences in generations and challenges
faced in dealing with students from different generations. Faculty need
to develop a new set of skills in teaching to students from different generations.
Learning about these and ways to overcome them can enhance your students’ learning
outcomes.
