Parke Largent is an Oklahoman who grew up in his father's pharmacy in Tipton. He received the Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from The University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy in 1961 and the Masters of Business Administration from The University of Oklahoma College of Business in 1978.

Parke is a member of the Rho Chi Pharmacy Honor Society, the Phi Lambda Sigma Honor Society, the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, and the Phi Delta Chi Pharmaceutical Fraternity. Parke served the profession of pharmacy in community pharmacy practice, owning his own pharmacy and managing several others, before joining The University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy. He had 22 years of dedicated and loyal service during his tenure as a member of the staff and faculty of the OU College of Pharmacy. Parke served in many different capacities, including pre-pharmacy counselor and recruiter, Business Manager, and Director of Pharmacy Student Services. He served as faculty advisor to several student organizations, including Phi Delta Chi, the National Community Pharmacist's Association, Pharmacy Student Council, Pharmacy Intra-Fraternity Council and the pre-pharmacy club on the Norman Campus.

He taught a number of classes during his tenure at the College including Financial Aspects of Pharmacy Practice, History of Pharmacy, and Pharmacy Ethics and Law. Parke was extremely active with The University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy Alumni Association and became College Liaison for the Alumni Affairs Board until his retirement in July 2000. As an active member of the College of Pharmacy family and was and remains highly regarded by faculty, staff, students, and alumni.

Parke is currently working in several different types of pharmacy practice settings as a relief pharmacist and continues to be involved with the College of Pharmacy as an Adjunct Assistant Professor. His daughter Piper is a legislative assistant in Washington, D.C. Parke and his wife Susie live in Oklahoma City and enjoy playing golf together and with alumni and friends.
